The Certificate IV in Authentic Pilates Method must be completed within 12 months

Delivery Mode

Face to face and self paced studies


Year 12 education or equivalent

A basic understanding of Pilates. It is recommended that you participate in Mat and Reformer classes prior to attending specific Pilates units of the course

A Certificate III in Fitness - RPL credits may apply

A Certificate IV in Fitness - RPL credits may apply

Qualifications in other fitness/health fields (i.e Yoga, Massage) - RPL credits may apply

Physical Requirements

Students must possess good health and have a reasonable level of fitness


Practical and Theory assessments will be conducted during the course.

An 80% pass mark on both the final written and practical exams.

The Certificate IV in the Authentic Pilates Method (10664NAT) is the perfect entry level qualification into the Authentic Pilates method for you to start your Pilates career.

Graduates will learn about the complete Pilates 'system' and where the Matwork and Reformer fit into this system and how to teach authentic Pilates in both private and group settings.
