CPR on dummy

This course follows the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and industry recommendations for provision of First Aid and low voltage electrical rescue.The unit applies to all workers who work on live or potentially live electrical switchboards and plant at "low voltages" (defined as less than 1000V AC or 1500V DC).

Upon successful completion, the student will receive a Statement of Attainment certificate.

Incorporating the Unit of Competence:

  • HLTAID001 Provide CPR
  • UETTDRRF06 Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel

The topics include but are not limited to:

  • DRSABCD
  • Managing an unconscious breathing person
  • CPR (resuscitation)
  • Safety rescue from low voltage apparatus
  • Risk management
  • Low voltage rescue kit
