Face to face for Swimming and Water Safety Instructor, Pool Lifeguard and Provide First Aid courses.
Self- paced studies
Basic swimming skills
Students will be required to complete 3 courses - Swimming and Water Safety Instructor, Pool Lifeguard and Provide First Aid. Information on each of these courses will be provided on enrolment.
In addition, students will be required to complete field experience practical hours (which will need to be sign off by a Workplace Supervisor who holds current qualifications in the relevant courses) and complete workbooks containing theory assessments.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in aquatic facilities or environments, and recreation facilities. These individuals are competent in a range of activities and functions requiring autonomous work within a defined range of situations and activities.
Completion of the Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation qualification provides career pathways to work as a Swimming Instructor, Pool Lifeguard or Recreation Leader. Attainment of this qualification offers a maximum of 50 SACE points.
