Course Details


$1695.00 per participant

An initial deposit of $565.00 is required to secure enrolment with a further 2 instalments of the same amount to follow.


The Certificate III in Fitness must be completed within 2 years.

This course offers a maximum of 100 SACE points and requires 703 nominal hours.


Face- to- Face Courses

Students will be required to attend 1 face-to-face course - Provide First Aid. Information on this course will be provided on enrolment.

Self-Paced Units

Students will be required to complete 15 self-paced units. Assessment workbooks and resources will be provided for each unit to assist with their studies.

Field Experience

A minimum of 30 hours of practical work experience will be required for successful completion of this course. It is the students responsibility to make arrangements for workplace experience hours under the supervision of a nominated mentor. Mentors must meet the following criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Registered with Fitness Australia
  • More than 18 months experience in the Health and Fitness Industry
  • Current Provide First Aid qualification

Fitness Student Insurance

Prior to commencing Field Experience, Fitness Students Insurance will be required. This insurance can be obtained by going to http://fitness.org.au and applying online. This insurance covers you for up to 12 months while you study and is FREE.

Course Accreditation:

This course is nationally recognised and meets all AQTF requirements.

Candidates can complete the course at 16 years of age.

Completion of the Certificate III in Fitness qualification provides career pathways to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.
